If it seems like you never have enough storage in your kitchen, then you’re not alone. A quick google tells you people are always looking for new and unique ways to increase their kitchen storage — but so many of them are gimmicks. Here are our favorite tried and true ways to increase kitchen storage with staying power!
It’s a classic solution that will never go out of style. If you haven’t seen one of these in person, it’s a deep drawer with adjustable pegs for storing plates, bowls, any sort of stackable dinnerware. This saves you from having to lift heavy dinner plates up into higher cabinets. Crockery or Plate Drawers also allow you to adjust their locations in the drawer while keeping them where they belong with pegs.
Pull-Out Drawers in Cabinets
Having a deep cabinet for storage is great, but it doesn’t do you much good if the stuff in the back never sees the light of day. Solve this problem by installing pull-out drawers. This allows you to make actual use of the space at the back of your cabinets!
Use Your Walls
Whether you go with a classic pegboard installation or with sleek, modern rails, there’s no wrong way to use your walls to add storage to your kitchen. You can hang up pots and pans that would otherwise take up an awkward amount space in drawers or cabinets. And you can even hang up containers to store kitchen tools and gadgets. If it’s good enough for Julia Child, we think it’s good enough for everyone!
A rolling cabinet is a great way to add both storage and counter space to your kitchen. We love this solution because it moves wherever you need it to. We like storing cleaning supplies and items like paper towels and extra kitchen linens in rolling cabinets, but they’re great multipurpose solutions for just about any kitchen.
